Here is the other video I just produced called, "A Film Maker". We had too much fun making this one. I love to see an idea that was in my head come alive on screen. And then to get great feedback and love from the people who see it ... That is mad nice.

Still at the military burn unit doing what we can to cheer up troops
who have come back from Iraq. Here is one solider of many who actually ended
up bringing us some cheer as well.
His injuries happened from a suicide bomber. After telling us about this,
he then went on and told us how he is blessed and how a person cannot
let a " bump in the road" slow you down. That he will continue to be
all he can be and help others while doing so.
Then, Brad Garrett said to him - just as I was thinking the same exact
thing, "You have got to do some public speaking when you get out of
here." Then he said, "Na... It's just the morphine kicking in," as he
pushed his bedside button for another dosage.
That is some funny stuff!

So, here is the full version of the video I wrote and co-produced for the 16th annual Movieguide Awards. You know how award shows always pay recognition to the big names...well I wanted to show love to the not so big names. So we created a category to give an award to called "Best Supporting Extra" in a motion picture. And here it is...

I had a practice with my girls' basketball team and it went great. I think we will have a great outing next Monday. The girls are working hard and they have come a long way.

I hope this does not mean I am going to catch my son holding a microphone, talking to himself in the mirror one day.
A powerful video. I guess it's probably best to teach our kids to focus on the Heavenly Father more so than their earthy parents.

Here is the first half of a clip I wrote and co-produced for the Movieguide Awards. We showed it to a room of Hollywood peeps and they seemed to really enjoy it. I will have the full clip posted soon, but here is a taste.
Let me know what you think so far...

So I am observing my son's class today. I remember being in the third
grade, I just didn't have any idea what the teacher was talking about
back then. Some things never change. I'm in the back of the room
listening to the teacher as funny jokes and possible comments come to
my head. But, now I know how to refrain from saying them ... So far
anyway ...

So, I hosted the Movieguide Awards last night and I really had a blast. The response has been great and I got some great fanmail. I got to meet some real cool people like Lou Gossett Jr. Afterwards, he felt compelled to tell me a joke, and it was really funny. It was just a lot of really cool people, having a really great time.

How is this little kid talking without moving his lips, and he has a grown man voice? This is strange.

My son has a basketball game tonight, and I am the assistant coach. The team is undefeated and really playing well together. I am thinking that after his game I may go get my hoop on as well. A brother could really use some exercise.

Yo, check it out. Your man Stephen Baldwin is bringing the news to the crib. Let me translate, he has some/the good news.
You can tell that he is real with his, because he is talking to the camera like, like it's a person and he wants that person to get what he is saying. And it's way deeper than acting. It's living.

Ok, so I got a comment about my "Oversaved" video that I have posted on Godtube. Now, I get lots of comments on my stuff offered, but I thought this one was cool because this person went a little deeper than just the joke. Here is the video followed by what was said.
"Man, have I been there! You're talking with someone who has never expressed any particular interest in faith, just chatting about work or family, when a christian friend walks up and joins the conversation...and he's the type that doesn't let three sentences go by before he's saying how he asked the Lord to show him this or that today in his quiet time this morning, or what he's been praying about. The conversation sort of stops with your other friend as this person goes on about his spiritual life. There's a time and place, of course, but it doesn't always advance the ball to pour it on every second with people you don't even know. If the second person was gay, or of a different political persuasion, or a vegan disciple instead, I'd expect him not to dial that into the conversation just yet, either. It doesn't need to be part of every exchange. There's a time to speak up, and a time to stifle it."

So I am coaching girls basketball now, and this is some real work. First of all did you know that 11 year old girls only have about a 5 inch vertical leap? I will say that these girls are pretty tough and they always seem to listen to my instructions. It’s just my job to make sure I give them the best instructions I know how. I am thinking we are going to have a pretty good run at the championship.
